Doku is the best dribbler in the world. It’s not even close

Add in the fact that Doku can play comfortably on both sides and he’s comfortable using either foot in the action after the dribble on both wings – he can dribble at EVERY angle, unlike Adama who was more one dimensional. He completes the most take ons whilst completing them 60% of the time – his efficiency is a joke. Yes, he’ll have games like on Sunday where he went 0 for 5 but that’s likely to be extremely rare with someone like him. This season in such a short sample size he’s already on 8.89 take ons attempted per game in the Premier League with Koleosho at 8.57, the next being Tavernier at 7.06 – the current efficiency will likely increase over the season, similar to last season and slightly lesser volume (will face deeper blocks and smarter pressing but a lot more 1v1 situations). Also to notice no one comes close to his number of carries per 90 or progressive distance and I’m not expecting anyone to beat him in this regard either. City added the best dribbler in the world to their team which will add a whole new dimension.
